About us.

Scarboro Community Association.

The Scarboro Community Association (SCA) was established in 1934 and is one of the oldest registered community associations in Calgary. The original objects of the society were filed in March 1934. Great emphasis was placed on building community by providing social and recreational activities (skating, tennis, bowling, swimming, dancing etc.). This remains a priority of the SCA today – connecting people through a variety of activities. It can be seen in our current vision, mission, values, actions, priorities and initiatives. These are found in our current Business Plan (2021-2026).

The SCA Board is comprised of eleven community members who, as volunteers, serve the community by overseeing the governance of activities, finances, priorities, responsibilities, and accountabilities of the community as a way of giving back to Scarboro.
